Brief Project Summary:

One way to address drought stress is to improve the capabilities of the plant to withstand drought conditions. Plant growth and water use are interrelated processes influenced by genetically controlled morphological and biochemical characters broadly described as water use efficiency components. The objective of this experiment is to compare germination and root length under different water conditions for key soybean lines. Research aims to identify traits that support drought-tolerant soybeans breeding.
