Brief Project Summary:

Top stresses on South Carolina soybeans included the weather, including dry weather. The project intent is to give growers information that will lend better options when planting soybeans to some of the sandy soil types, so that hopefully better yields can be made when weather conditions are at their most disruptive. It evaluates soybeans entered in the Soybean Official Variety Trials for their ability to overcome drought conditions often observed in the summer.

Project Deliverables

Current progress will be given with the first two quarterly reports. Updates will be given and shown at the Field Days at each Station. Finally, results will be given with the last two quarterly reports as well as at county production meetings. Social media can also serve as a good way to list results of the trial.

No data will be taken from this trial as the drought and lesser cornstalk borer really destroyed it. Weeds and insects have been sprayed so all that is left is some final evaluations and harvest.
Only thing to do is look forward to a new trial in 2020.

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years.
