Brief Project Summary:

This research helps drive breeding and selection decisions for the Soybean Breeding Program of the University of Arkansas. By developing varieties with trait profiles more in line with current and future market needs, the program expects to increase the intrinsic value this germplasm provides the local soybean industry. The project goal is to gather feedback on the importance, weight and economic value of key soybean traits in the state of Arkansas. The results influence the development of selection indices for the prioritization of the breeding efforts within the University of Arkansas Soybean Breeding Program.
