Brief Project Summary:

Viral diseases of soybean reduce both soybean yield and quality. There is no good treatment for plant viruses, and many are seed transmitted, so once a seed lot is infected with viruses, it is difficult or impossible to eliminate. This is a major problem for seed producers. In order for Nebraska soybean producers and seed producers to manage viral diseases, there is a need to develop genetic materials which are tolerant, or resistant, to soybean viruses. This research team has completed a study that identified genomic regions, or quantitative trait loci (QTL), involved in the reaction to bean pod mottle virus (BPMV) infection in soybeans. They identified soybean lines with differing response...

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
