Brief Project Summary:

Eight aphid resistance sources were crossed with elite Michigan soybean germplasm. Over 10,000 plants developed from these crosses were evaluated for aphid resistance in the past four years. Progenies with different aphid resistant genes were selected and crosses were made among the selected progenies to stack multiple aphid resistant genes. In 2011, over 650 lines from crosses attempting to combine different aphid resistance genes were evaluated for aphid resistance in the field and in the greenhouses.

Over 380 lines were found resistant to soybean aphids. These resistant lines were tested with DNA markers linked to different aphid resistance genes to determine the aphid resistance...

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
