Brief Project Summary:

Seed purity is crucial to any seed company and grower. Private companies have a purity unit that oversees the purification and quality control of their pipeline products. This project allows the University of Arkansas Soybean Breeding Program to work in conjunction with the foundation program to maintain the genetic purity of varieties and breeding lines. The goal is to maintain the purity of previously released UA cultivars and to increase pre-foundation seed of UA soybean breeding lines for foundation seed production.

Key Benefactors:
farmers, agronomists, extension agents, soybean breeders, seed companies
