The projects focus is to broaden the gene pool and improve productivity of southern soybean using exotic germplasm with genetic diversity by incorporating useful genetic diversity for yield and unique traits of interest from exotic plant introductions (PIs) and northern elite germplasm into southern elite cultivars and lines.
