Brief Project Summary:

The Center for Excellence is a long term regional cropping systems project that is well respected in Southeast and South Central Michigan. This project is led by NRCS staff and supported by a wide range of agricultural entities. Much of the work within this project applies either directly to soybeans or in a cropping system which includes soybeans.

This continuing project has several goal and objectives:

Water Goal: Ensure optimal moisture conditions by maximizing water availability through soil water holding capacity with supplemental irrigation and artificial drainage.

Nutrient Goal: Sustainably manage crop nutrient availability.

Information And Results
Project Deliverables

1. Continuation of the Center for Excellence, a long-term regional cropping systems study.
2. Educational sessions that provide technical information to growers about corn, soybean and wheat systems that can be useful in their own operation.

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years.
