Brief Project Summary:

Two years of research funded by the soybean checkoff indicates an antagonistic effect of herbicide combinations could result in some tank mixes. Since the concept is a reality, the question is whether judicious use of adjuvants solves the antagonism.

The research group will test the hypothesis that antagonistic, undesirable interactions of a fast acting herbicide and a slower acting herbicide can be solved with the proper selection of tank-mix adjuvants. They will test in a controlled greenhouse environment with velvetleaf, common lambsquarter and giant foxtail as target weed species.
