Final Report
We have been successful in the harvest and turning of our nurseries in Puerto Rico and have planted our F3 populations at the three research stations. The planting date was good, and they are off to a good start.
Our progeny rows in Chile and Argentina had an excellent growing season. Seed quality was good, and the seed returned in good time to get our tests packaged and sent out, with most of our locations getting planted in May. We have over 60 yield locations planted within our system and with outside cooperators. We will be evaluating these materials over the next two months as we approach harvest.
Our production group did an excellent job getting our small and medium increases placed into the appropriate regions with good planting dates. Most production seems to be off to a good start and the seed quality and purity on the material was very good. Contained in these varieties are seven lines related to this grant that have significant acreage.
