This research assesses if different irrigation conditions at reproductive stages influence the breeding decisions of prioritizing populations and selection within breeding populations. It helps breeders understand how to better breed and select for soybean cultivars adapted to various water regimes, and to develop a practical genomic selection tool that allows for the effective selection for yield and drought traits that are controlled by a large number of genes.Key Benefactors: farmers, agronomists, extension agents, soybean breeders, seed companies
The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
