Brief Project Summary:

With continued support from Michigan Soybean Promotion Committee, the research team has evaluated over 300 early maturing soybean germplasm lines from the MSU soybean breeding program for SDS resistance in both artificially inoculated fields and natural heavy SDS infection sites. Lines that showed SDS resistance in multiple locations were entered in the SDS Regional tests coordinated by researchers at Southern Illinois University. Two lines (GD2422 and E07080) were as resistant as the three SDS resistant checks at all locations where SDS disease data were collected. Both lines are not known to carry any SDS resistance genes and are considered new sources of SDS resistance.

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
