This is a continuation of a research project initiated in 2009 to evaluate the interactive effect of soybean cyst nematode (SCN) and Rhizoctonia solani (causal agent of Rhizoctonia root rot) on soybean growth and yield. Results from the 2009 field study indicate that R. solani significantly reduced plant stand on both an SCN susceptible and resistant cultivar; however, when fungicide treatments were applied to seed of an SCN susceptible cultivar, the plant stand was significantly less than the SCN resistant cultivar treated with fungicide seed treatments.
