This project will assess the impact of starter fertilizer on the yield of soybeans in South Carolina. Part of the study will be to determine whether the response to the starter fertilizer is great enough to offset the cost of the fertilizer. The effect of starter fertilizer on pod set and pod fill, the most important stage of the soybean life cycle when determining yield will be demined.
