With the explosion in the number of seed treatments available it is essential for growers to have baseline data to determine the relative benefit of the increased seed cost, particularly given the many options available. We propose to look at the economics of soybean seed treatment to provide Michigan soybean producers with data to support strategic decision making when considering seed treatments and input costs. The objective of this proposal is to determine the return on investment of seed treatments and to assist Michigan soybean producers in the selection of seed treatment level.
Recommendations for the Michigan soybean producers for the selection of seed treatment.
