Brief Project Summary:

The overall goal of this project is to maintain the long-term effectiveness of current herbicide technologies by slowing the spread of herbicide-resistant populations of Palmer amaranth and waterhemp in Kentucky. There is mounting evidence that these two weed species are increasing in Kentucky. This survey will improve grower understanding of how serious the threat of these weeds are and will help growers make better decisions on how best to manage these weeds.
