This project will continue to produce and evaluate genetically engineered soybeans for increased fungal resistance. The researchers will use gene silencing (RNAi) to enhance soybean cyst nematode resistance in transgenic soybean and produce phenylalanine-free corn protein in transgenic soybean to produce a nutraceutical (value-added) trait that may open new markets for Kansas' soybeans.
The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years.
