Ninety-seven people from seven different counties attend our first summer field day. Growers were able to see first-hand the plots and results from NCSPA funded research. All feedback was very positive. Due to the success in 2017, we expect the event to grow in its second year and have already had a lot of interest from growers and industry partners alike. Our cover crop plot is still on going, as soybeans will be planted into the terminated cover crops this spring. The cover crop never accumulated much biomass though due to its late planting behind soybeans and the unusually cold winter.
