The following outcomes are expected following the conclusion of this project:
i) to supply relevant information to feed companies, producers, nutritionists and industry stakeholders about the applicability of PTS to increase PA-P availability in LMB feed formulations containing high levels of soy-protein ingredients (SBM and SPC);
ii) by increasing P availability through the use of supplemental PTS, reduce or eliminate the need for inorganic P supplementation in soy-based diets for LMB;
iii) by optimizing dietary P availability through the use of supplemental PTS and reducing inorganic P supplementation, minimize the environmental impact(s) (e.g., eutrophication processes) of soy-based feeds LMB farming operations; and
iv) to increase the “pros” regarding soy inclusion in aquaculture feeds.
