Brief Project Summary:

This research involves a series of in vitro and in vivo experiments to evaluate the role of nanoparticles, including nano-zinc-oxide, nano-clay and nano-sulfur, to manage soybean pests, including soybean looper, beet armyworm, cucumber beetle, Japanese beetle and kudzu bug. Additional work observes the effect of some of the nanoparticles on head blight of wheat as a model fungal organism. Observations also included impact on soybean root and shoot growth, all to see how this technology might fit in soybean production.
