(1) cooperating farmers will have increased awareness of soybean as an important crop for increasing agriculture sustainability and will make management decisions based on unbiased field research from Nebraska farms (short-term goal),
(2) other farmers throughout the region will adopt these best management practices to maximize soybean production in a semi-arid climate (intermediate goal), and
(3) farmers in semi-arid climates will increase soybean acreage, enhance profitability, and implement environmental stewardship practices that benefit the soybean industry as a whole (long-term goal).
