Information And Results
Project Deliverables

• A better understanding of how delta desaturase and elongase genes from different organisms can help achieve our goal of producing high AA, DHA, SDA, and EPA in soybeans.
• Develop new approaches to breed for high AA, DHA, SDA, and EPA content in soybean.
• Whole soybean transgenic lines with various desaturase and elongase gene combinations from different species will be available.
• Soybean lines with high linoleic and linolenic acid precursors for high AA, DHA, SDA, and EPA content will be available.

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
