During the proposal duration, success of the project will only occur if communication between cooperators continues. Monthly progress emails will be expected from all Co-PIs. If problems occur, efforts will be to fix these quickly. A biannual report will be produced and sent to all cooperators (including USB if desired) describing progress and barriers incurred during that period. Short term goals (mainly increased information and awareness of RBSB) and specific impact indicators will be measured by the number of grower meeting presentations and extension bulletins given in each participating state. Once we have conducted the research listed in the objectives, ppt talks and slides will be made available. These can be accomplished at the end of the project. Medium term goals (actual implementation and use of the research conducted) will take additional time and testing in controlled field conditions. These techniques will be transferred via research field days and on-farm implementation with producer support. A key outcome will be the creation of a flexible, dynamic economic threshold for stink bugs based on real-time pest populations, input costs and product value. Further funds and collaboration with Agriculture Economists will be sought to achieve this after completion of this proposal. Once this webpage is established, it will be used as a template for further dynamic thresholds of soybean and other crop insect and disease pests. Outcomes will only occur if control tactics find grower adoption and support.

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years.
