Project Deliverables

1. Further testing and evaluation of soybeans transformed with desaturases from oyster mushrooms and bread yeast.
2.Transgenic lines with the introduced yeast D9D cloned under the 35S promoter for expression in leaves and resistance to rust and other fungal diseases will be regenerated and grown out in the greenhouse. The seeds will be harvested from these transgenic lines and the seed chips will be analyzed for fatty acid composition and DNA. The lines will be analyzed for segregation and positive ones will be grown out and seed collected and genotyped for rust trials.

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
