Brief Project Summary:

Sclerotinia stem rot (SSR) of soybean remains an important yield-limiting disease of soybean in Wisconsin. Host resistance is currently the best control method for SSR of soybean. However, the sporadic nature of the disease and partial quantitative nature has impeded breeding progress. The combination of the influence of environment on disease development, the large inoculants potential of S. sclerotiorum and the lack of complete genetic resistance suggest that the effects aimed at targeting the pathogen may be an effective mechanism for disease control.

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
