Identification of Glycine soja genes that could be used to remediate the low stress tolerance of Glycine max, thus enabling cultivation of soybean in a wider range of locations, decreasing losses or crop failure due to unexpected spring frosts, and to decrease yield losses from drought stress.

Creation of the transgenic tester species, arabidopsis, as well as transgenic soybean; by molecular cloning and creating the appropriate constructs for expression.
