Brief Project Summary:

The PRE's that provided the best residual control regardless of soil type of GR Palmer amaranth were Prefix, Authority MTZ and Boundary. A PRE applied herbicide that provides about four weeks residual control coupled with post applied herbicides on small Palmer (<3) was the best program. Pyroxasulfone a new herbicide in our research provided good residual Palmer control. We also evaluated a number of Liberty based systems in Liberty Link soybeans. Those systems where a PRE was followed by two applications of Liberty provided the most consistent Palmer control.
