Brief Project Summary:

Soybean producers are continually faced with changing soybean insect pest complexes, especially with invasive pests such as soybean aphid (high infestations were seen in Northern Ohio), brown marmorated stink bug and kudzu bug. Impacts of these emerging pests can be minimized by understanding these pests and implementing management recommendations before serious and economic damage occurs.

Our project will develop a pro-active approach to monitor, understand and manage these pests using on-farm research, state-wide sampling, new research and education material.
