The research will investigate the yield response of a range of soybean genotypes to tile drainage. The project involves growing soybeans in tiled and non-tiled fields and measuring yield, disease levels and other crop growth characteristics. Soil measurements include monitoring the water table, soil properties and temperature between the tiled and non-tiled fields. Some of the questions that this project will attempt to answer include: ~ Can tile drainage improve yields across different soybean varieties? ~ What is the effect of tiles on varieties that are known to be more tolerant to excess moisture compared to varieties that are not as tolerant? ~ Can tiles reduce...
The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
