The overall goal of the project is to develop transgenic soybean engineered with antifungal proteins and to screen the transgenic plants for resistance to Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS) caused by Fusarium virguliformae and to Soybean Rust (SBR) caused by Phaksopsora pachyrhizi.
