Brief Project Summary:

This soil fertility project will update current P and K fertility recommendations for soybeans that are based on the Lancaster extraction method and develop prescription fertilizer application guidelines for variable rate equipment. Research seeks to evaluate soybean yield response to P and K fertilization rate, correlate Lancaster and Mehlich-3 soil test P and K with plant indices like tissue concentration and seed yield, provide a set of soil test recommendations that can be applied to soil test data from laboratories that use the Mehlich-3 extractant, update current P and K fertility recommendations and develop prescription fertilizer application guidelines for variable rate equipment.

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
