White mold and Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS) are important disease problems that significantly reduce soybean yields in Minnesota every year to varying degrees. This project will develop new information on the distribution and management of SDS and White Mold. It will determine the effects of row width, planting pattern, planting populations, soybean maturity, fungicides, and Contans on white mold development and incidence. The project will also develop a more accurate picture of where and when there is a risk of SDS in MN, and determine the effect of planting date and maturity groups on SDS severity.
