Brief Project Summary:

Several studies have investigated the potential use of cover crops for weed suppression in field crops; however, these studies have not been comprehensive. The researchers involved in this project will evaluate the impact of barley and herbicide management tactics on arthropod pests, weed populations, soil moisture retention and soybean yields. The study will investigate the impact of cover crop suppression tactics (timing, chemical and mechanic) on insect, weed and water retention in soybean production systems. It is anticipated that the results of this project will provide soybean producers critical information that can be readily adapted as part of an overall soybean production system...

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
