The objective of this continuing research project is to investigate the management of glyphosate-resistant weeds in soybeans. While horseweed is the primary weed showing glyphosate resistance, there have been reports of resistance in common lambsquarter. The researcher will monitor glyphosate failures and develop strategies for managing these weeds as they develop and spread across the state.
A variety of herbicide chemistries, both preemergence and postemergenence will be evaluated on glyphosate-resistant horseweeds and other weeds that are hard to control with glyphosate. Application timings, rotations and tillage variables will be included in the study. The researcher will also...
