These on-farm agricultural demonstrations play a critical role in alerting farmers, county agents, crop consultants, dealers and agribusiness reps of research underway at LSU. This project is a "real world" teaching tool to demonstrate some of the new technologies being developed with the use of checkoff funds. It aims to conduct soybean on-farm demonstrations throughout the state, conduct field days and producer meetings to discuss and present demonstration results, work with producers on their farms with precision ag equipment and collect data and compile it into a publication for distribution at meetings and on the LSU AgCenter website.
