Each year diseases reduce yield and quality of soybeans produced in Louisiana. This research helps better understand the impact of diseases. It measures diseases losses over time, the effectiveness of fungicides and develops effective disease management strategies that use a combination of genetic, cultural and chemical control methods. Specific objectives aim to determine the effectiveness of selected management strategies (reduced rates of fungicides, tank mixes and split applications), develop decision aids for fungicide use, develop yield losses due to soybean disease and rate all soybean variety plots for disease across the state.
