Brief Project Summary:

The goal of this project is to increase the overall knowledge regarding yield-limiting stresses on soybeans. Soybean growth and development throughout the growing season is a critical component of profitable soybean production. This project will determine soybean growth, development and yield in various corn and soybean rotations using a no-tillage and conventional tillage system. The effects of tillage-rotation on soilborne diseases, soybean cyst nematode, brown stem rot, sudden death syndrome, and Fusarium root rot will be studied. The researcher will also evaluate the relationship between root structure characteristics and soybean yield.
