Brief Project Summary:

Over the past few years we have evaluated fungicides and fungicide spray programs in small plot experiments at research stations around the state. Though differences were apparent in some years, it is often difficult to relate these results to real-life situations. Weather and disease pressure confound fungicide study results. This year the research team will repeat large-scale on-farm fungicide trials to determine the effectiveness of preventative fungicide spray programs for foliar disease control. The ultimate goal is to improve management recommendations when fungicide applications are cost-effective.
