Sudden death syndrome (SDS) is a destructive disease in Wisconsin and the North Central region. Knowing the distribution of the causal pathogen of this disease, Fusarium virguliforme, can help to predict disease outbreaks and focus on Extension outreach. This project is going to test all soil samples submitted to the WSMB's SCN testing program to determine the prevalence and distribution of F. virguliforme in Wisconsin.
