Brief Project Summary:

The goal of this research is to minimize frogeye leaf spot damage to soybeans in Virginia. This foliar disease is increasing in severity in the state. This research program is designed to evaluate the genetic component of frogeye leaf spot and using advanced molecular techniques (marker assisted selection) to develop germplasm lines with resistance to the disease.
