The objectives of this project are to evaluate Brachyrhizobium inoculants for their ability to deal with desiccation and heat stress, isolate native desiccation/heat tolerant Brachyrhizobium strains from Texas soils, determine economic return of soybean production expense for native vs. commercial inoculations and provide the Texas soybean industry with fact sheets that will help producers obtain and apply efficient Brachyrhizobium strains.
