Brief Project Summary:

Soybean cyst nematode, SCN, was found in Lake County TN in 1956 and is a pest which if not managed leads to greater risk of yield reduction in soybean. Yield loss is hard to predict and the main management tool, plant resistance, favors adaptation of the nematode to sources of resistance and increased risk of yield loss. Additional tools are needed to manage this pest.

This proposal addresses the manipulation of a biological control agent, Pasteuria nishizawae, to increase management of SCN.
