Brief Project Summary:

This project is to improve understanding and significance of plant diseases by South Dakota soybean producers and to define effective, practical disease control methods that are appropriate for South Dakota soybean production.

The research-based information generated through field plot trials will be disseminated to South Dakota growers and to the allied industries by the Extension Plant Pathology program and the Extension Field Specialists-Plant Pathology. Disease-specific, integrated management and fungicide selection Extension bulletins will be developed and used as educational tools to help with soybean management issues. Final Project Results

As a result, no significant differences in late stand counts were observed between treated and non-treated plots. Grain yield, however, was significantly higher in treatments that had Cruiser only at the Volga location. For foliar fungicides, only Priaxor + Fastac and Stratego YLD + Mustang Maxx had significant yield from non-treated plots also at Volga location.
