Brief Project Summary:

Varieties differ in their response to environmental conditions, soil resources and pest tolerance. Most of the varieties available to Pennsylvania growers were developed in other regions of the U.S. Tests will be conducted at two locations with four replications per cultivar. Herbicide-tolerant varieties (glyphosate RR and sulfonylurea STS) will be tested in a separate trial. Data on yield, maturity, plant height, lodging, seed quality, seed size and seed composition will be obtained.
