Brief Project Summary:

Resistance to Ohio's primary soybean pathogens is key to the development of high-yielding, adapted varieties challenging Ohio's production systems. Breeders want more than a line that is resistant to cross with; they also want molecular markers or the genes that are associated with the expression of that resistance.

During 2010-2012 we identified several varieties/PIs that were also resistant to Fusarium graminearum, Pythium irregularee, and Pythium ultimum among the lines that are characterizing resistance to Phytophthora sojae.
