The North Carolina State University's soybean breeding program is working to develop both high yielding conventional varieties and high yielding conventional varieties with modified protein content that are adapted to NC growing conditions. New populations will be developed to address important problems in North Carolina, such as resistance to the most predominant races 2 and 4, of soybean cyst nematode.
