To help improve the profitability of soybean production in North Carolina, the project determines if Roundup Ready 2 Yield varieties yield comparably to Roundup Ready varieties offered by the same companies, and what factors cause the difference. The goal is to better enable farmers to choose the varieties best suited for their environments.

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years.
