Brief Project Summary:

This project has three major components. One component is the continuation of a long-term study to determine the effect of different sequences of SCN-resistance sources on the dynamics of SCN population densities and their virulence phenotypes (HG Types). This study is helping to develop management strategies to avoid SCN resistance failures. A second component is designed to determine effect of organic and chemical fertilizers and tillage on SCN population densities and soybean yields. A third component will evaluate the affects of the interaction of tile drainage on different SCN management strategies, including the use of canola meal as a possible nematicide.

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
