Brief Project Summary:

The objective of this study is to develop additional information for better managing the soybean cyst nematode. The project is organized with three major components:

~ One component is the continuation of a long-term study to determine the effect of different sequences of SCN-resistance sources on the dynamics of SCN population densities and their virulence phenotypes (HG Types).

~ A second component is to determine effect of organic and chemical fertilizers and tillage on SCN population densities and soybean yields; and

~ The third component is to conduct approximately 45 on-farm trials to establish the level of SCN virulent biotypes that can overcome existing resistance...

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
