The objective of this project is to determine the effect of chromosomal deletion in seven mutant genotypes. Previous screening techniques have identified seven mutant genotypes that exhibit altered compositional attributes. A more detailed characterization of each mutant line will be done to determine what genes may be driving the altered phenotypes and whether these mutants can be utilized in a breeding program to enhance seed quality of Northern soybean germplasm and varieties.
The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
